A Totally Different Experience From What I Had Back Home

Last semester, I had a great opportunity to enjoy a semester abroad in the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. It was a totally different experience from what I had back my home. Everything was different for me starting from university and ending with city, environment. Located in the small student city, University of Pittsburgh was a great opportunity for me to fully dive into study and university life. Even though, the city of Pittsburgh doesn’t belong to big ones, I never was bored there. Big thanks to the Study Abroad Team that made out adjustment to the new environment and our stay there very comfortable with hosting extra curriculum and entertainment activities.

I was surprised how many other exchange students were doing study abroad program there from all over the world. Because of its convenient location I had a chance to travel all around the United States with other exchange students to 9 states in the last four months. Some of the trips were organized by University and were very unique by their nature. For example, trip to the Amish village which residents are reluctant to adopt any convenience of modern technology.

The main reason why I chose United States to exchange in was my desire to experience a true spirit of US University Culture with their sport games, cheerleaders, life in dormitory and great celebration of Halloween and Thanksgiving. All of this I could experience to full extent in the University of Pittsburgh.
