Located in the lively Oakland neighborhood of the city of Pittsburgh, the University of Pittsburgh's main campus is a great place to be a student. Although the university was founded in 1789, the literal foundations of the urban Oakland campus were laid in 1908.  In 2012, Pitt celebrated it's 225th anniversary.  Read more about Pitt's history.

With a little over a century in Oakland, the beautiful campus has thrived and neighbors several other universities.
