The University Center for International Studies (UCIS) is the larger umbrella organization at Pitt that houses both the Study Abroad Office (SAO) and the Office of International Services (OIS), as well as a number of regional studies centers. These regional centers include: African Studies, Asian Studies, Latin American Studies, Russian and East European Studies, European Studies, and Global Studies. Not only may students refer to the individual centers for academic courses related to the geographic area of interest but also for potential research opportunities, special programs and events, and community connections such as student organizations and clubs.
