Way Better Than I Could Have Ever Imagined

The 2017 Spring Semester in the University of Pittsburgh was way better than I could have ever imagined before. In the beginning, of course, it was not easy: missing my parents, not knowing many people and studying in a different language. But, looking at me now, I can say that I became a more independent person, with friends all over the world and a fluent English speaker. So, this semester really changed my life.

The city, Pittsburgh, is not so big, but there are many fun things to do there. For example, visiting PHIPPS Conservatory and going to the Duquesne Incline, both free for PITT students. It was so nice to see and feel how the population there are extremely supportive of sport city teams, like Penguins and Steelers. Now, these are my hockey and football teams too.

Studying in this University was a privilege for me. All my professors were highly capable and helpful. Not to mention that I had the opportunity to present a project in the Swanson School of Engineering Senior Design Expo, this was a tremendous experience. The infrastructure of all the buildings is amazing, and Cathedral of Learning is my favorite one.  Moreover, as I am an active person I have enjoyed going weekly to the gym and swimming pool in the University.

However, one of the best thing about studying abroad is that you meet new people and make friends from several countries. It is wonderful to experience the cultural diversity! Certainly, this trip made me feel willingness to travel more and more in the future.
